Chamber Music Athens celebrates the 90th birthday of George Crumb, one of the most respected contemporary American composers. This special collaboration with the Georgia Museum of Art features the Georgia premiere of Crumb’s newest piano work "Metamorphoses" which is inspired by ten famous paintings. The program will include a panel discussion with performers and scholars about George Crumb and the connection between art and music, followed by the performance.
