CMA and Atlanta Concerts@First present: Afternoon of Piano and Chamber Music
UGA faculty, alumni, and current students join forces with Chamber Music Athens guest artists, the internationally acclaimed Ying String Quartet, for an unforgettable afternoon of chamber music evoking scenes from around the world — Spain, Madagascar, France, and Czech Republic — in colorful music by Turina, Ravel, Saint-Saëns, and Dvořák. This special, one-time performance honors distinguished arts patron Robert G. Edge and the legacy of his teacher, Hugh Hodgson, and will also include performances by the winners of the 2026 Robert G. Edge Piano Competition at the Hugh Hodgson School of Music.
This concert is free but registrations are highly encouraged.

Family Concert: The Magic of Chamber Music
Chamber Music Athens performers–UGA faculty, students, and alumni–present an interactive performance especially designed for elementary school students by the Hugh Hodgson School of Music’s Community Engagement class.
FREE tickets can be reserved via the UGA Performing Arts Center website (https://pac.uga.edu/) using the promo code CMAKID. On the main page of the UGA PAC website, click "Buy Tickets. Once directed to the next page, click on the link in the upper right corner "Enter Promo Code". This code is good for up to 10 free tickets per group. Tickets will also be available the morning of the concert on a first come first serve basis depending on spaces available.

Celebrate Mother’s Day with this joyous festival-opening program! CMA Baroque Ensemble, led by distinguished alum Ian Jones, will delight in music by Handel and Couperin. Soprano Anne Slovin leads a chamber group in what is likely Athens’ first performance of Baroque master-composer Élisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre’s cantata “Semelé.” To cap off the program, CMA’s acclaimed guest pianist Ieva Jokubaviciute performs Mozart’s radiant Piano Concerto in A major alongside special guest, violinist Itamar Zorman, and UGA musicians.
